This is the story of how Mr. Smith, an elementary classroom teacher, and his wife, Ms. Eby, and ten 4th grade students from Eugene Field Elementary in Hannibal, Missouri went on a 14,000 mile journey of a lifetime.
              
       Kids attended the first International Summer Camp at Kang Chiao Bilingual School in Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China from June 24 to July 11, 2004. We stayed in Taiwanese homes, sampled new foods, attended classes, and toured the amazing sights of Taiwan. Mr. Smith and Ms. Eby taught classes and were team leaders.

Kang Chiao Parents were so generous as to give us two-thirds of the funds needed to make the journey to Taiwan.
