Cadre 14
Here is our original Cadre 14 - new doctoral students: Summer 2008 at the Malibu, California campus. Since that first summer, we’ve lost a few members. We’re all deep into course work, we’ve all grown incredibly. We meet 40% online and 60% F2F - Los Angeles, San Diego, and off to Boston in March for fun at MIT and Harvard.
Year two - Statistics part 2 with Dr. Madjidi, Learning Design/iPhone apps/Quest Atlantis with Dr. Polin, HR concepts with Dr. Goodale, and embarking on a doctoral consultancy with Dr. Sparks. Next face to face meeting - November in Boston again and time with Ben Zander (The Art of Possibility), as well as time at MIT and Harvard again.
Dr. McManus has the cadre primed for our “hands-on” policy event - five days in Washington, D.C. in April 2010. We’ll bring our questions and suggestions to meetings with leaders from the US Dept of Education, attend senate hearings on NCLB reauthorization, an educational technology summit meeting, ISTE, NPR, US News & World Report, and talk to senators from our respective states. Never a dull moment.
